Video trim — multi-segment (chunk 6)

CapCut / Descript pattern on top of the chunk-4 unified scrubber: split at the playhead, drag handles per segment, delete a middle to cut it out. Playback loops sequentially through the segments, skipping gaps.

Try this:

  1. Click play, pause mid-clip, then hit S (or Split at playhead) — the clip becomes two segments around the playhead.
  2. Pause somewhere else and hit S again to split further.
  3. Drag each segment's handles independently — they clamp against each other so they can't overlap.
  4. Click a segment to select it, then Delete segment (or ⌫) — the middle is gone.
  5. Click play — playback skips the gap. Toggle Loop within trim to test the looping behaviour at the end of the last segment.
